THREE-DIMENSIONAL: CERAMICS, WOOD AND METAL
CERAMICS WORK SPACE
The Ceramics work space is a light, well-equipped room, containing, amongst other things, a roller, large kiln and spray booth. It is also very well suited for making ceramic transfers and large-scale sculptures which may combine ceramics with other materials, such as wood or metal.
In this work space the emphasis lies on technical and artistic use of, and experimentation with clay. To enable participants to develop into artists with their own, distinguishing signature it is important for them to have a broad outlook. This is why a wide variety of techniques will be tackled (if necessary in workshops by external specialists), exhibitions will be visited and discussed and participants are stimulated to build up an 'image bank’ with images of artworks and things that inspire them.
Exchanges with other disciplines, such as painting, drawing and digital media are encouraged. Participants will also be offered advice on how to build their portfolios and how to set up their own artistic enterprise.

THREE-DIMENSIONAL WORK SPACE: WOOD & METAL
The three-dimensional work space has excellent facilities for working in wood and metal. The strict division between the wood and metal work spaces has been abandoned, encouraging the participants to research an interdisciplinary approach to three-dimensional work.
